First ever recorded Solar eclipse (Fact of the Day)

The World's oldest known Solar eclipse happened in 3340 BC in Ireland. The Irish Archaeo-astronomer Paul Griffin found the recordings in a stone just a few kilometres of Dublin, Ireland. Before this, the World's oldest known recordings were found in China which happened in 2800 BC. More detailed understanding of solar eclipses were not made until the early 17th century, when Europeans started publishing about them.
