Kepler's Supernova: Recently Observed Supernova (Fact of the Day)

SN 1604 or Kepler's Supernova
Kepler's Supernova or (SN 1604) was a supernova which occurred in the Milky Way Galaxy in 1604. It's the last supernova that was observed from Earth in naked eye. The first recorded observation of this supernova was on 9 October 1964. Soon, Johannes Kepler started observing it from October 17 and thus, it was named 'Kepler's Supernova'. It was seen in the constellation of Ophiuchus. It happened about 20,000 light years away from Earth.
