NGC 6369: Little Ghost Nebula
NGC 6369, also known as the "Little Ghost Nebula", is a relatively faint planetary nebula found in the constellation of Ophiuchus. It is measured to be approximately 3000 ± 1000 light years away (since it is difficult to measure the distance accurately, there is a high level of uncertainty in the value). It is 0.3 light years across with an apparent magnitude of 12.9. The glow is due to the ionized oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen atoms. The central star of the nebula has a temperature of roughly 58,000 K.
