Caldwell 9: The Cave Nebula (Picture of the Day)

Cave Nebula
Cave Nebula (also known as Sh2-155 or Caldwell 9) is an emission nebula in the Cepheus Constellation. It is about 2,400 light years away from Earth and has an apparent magnitude of 7.7. It has a radius of about 35 light years. It is a dim and very diffuse bright nebula within a larger nebula complex and it is a difficult object to spot in the sky.
