Crux: Smallest Constellation (Fact of the Day)

Crux constellation is the smallest constellation in the 88 modern constellations. Even though it is the smallest constellation, it is also very distinctive and it is the most familiar constellation in the southern hemisphere.

It was part of the Centaurus constellation, but now it is a separate constellation now. It has an area of 68 square degrees. It has four main stars, with the brightest star in the constellation being the Acrux.
