Jupiter: Fastest Rotating Planet (Fact of the Day)

Jupiter
Jupiter is the fifth planet in the Solar system and also the largest planet. The other thing is that it is also the fastest rotating planet in our Solar system. It has a rotation period of 9.925 hours (9 h 55 m 30 s) with the next fastest rotating planet being Saturn with a rotation period of 10.57 hours (10 hr 34 m). Due to the fast rotation rate of the planet, the shape of Jupiter is an oblate spheroid with a slight bulge in the equator.
