Hydra: The Largest and the Longest Constellation (Fact of the Day)

Hydra constellation is the largest constellation in terms of area, according to the list of modern constellation which consists of 88 constellations. It is about 1303 square degrees in area. It is also the longest constellation. It is commonly represented as a "Water Snake". Alphard is the brightest star of this constellation and it is the only reasonable bright star, despite its size.
