Ganymede: Largest Moon in the Solar System (Fact of the Day)

Ganymede
Ganymede is the moon of Jupiter, which is the largest moon in the Solar system. The diameter of Ganymede is 5,268 km (3,270 miles) and it is bigger than the planet Mercury.  It is just a little bit bigger than the second largest moon in the Solar system which is the Titan, moon of Saturn. It is also the most massive moon in the Solar system. Just in comparison, it is almost twice the mass of Earth's moon.
